Most cricket fans are probably thrilled that women’s Big Bash Cricket is back! People in Australia play Twenty20 cricket in the Women’s Big Bash League, which is also known as the WBBL.
From its first season in 2007/08 to its last in 2014/15, the WBBL ran. There was a short break, but the Big Bash League came back in 2018. Now we’re getting ready for WBBL 08!
To keep things interesting, we chose to look at three fun and interesting facts about the women’s Big Bash Cricket coming back.
1. This season on WBBL, you can
A lot of people don’t know that you can use bitcoin to bet on BBL cricket on Sportsbet. After that, there are a number of other internet sportsbooks where you can use your own money to place bets.
We can’t stress enough how important it is to only bet money you can afford to lose when you bet online on these games. However, for many, betting on different markets makes watching WBBL games more fun.
2. There have been a lot of staff moves before the new season
As you might have guessed, there have been a lot of big changes in staff. Let’s begin with player moves in the same area.
Erin Osborne, who played for the Melbourne Stars, has quit. Sasha Moloney has also moved from the Hobart Hurricanes to the Melbourne Stars. Tayla Vlaeminck is another Hurricanes player who is leaving to play for the Melbourne Renegades. Heather Graham, who came from the Perth Scorchers, is one of the new players who have joined the club.
There have also been moves abroad. This includes Hayley Matthews going to the Melbourne Renegades, Danni Wyatt going to the Brisbane Heat, Chamari Athapaththu going to the Melbourne Renegades, and Maddy Green going to the Perth Scorchers.
3. The boss has changed three times
This is not the first time that coaches have changed before the WBBL 2008 season. Three coaches have already been hired. Here are some of them:
The Hobart Hurricanes’ new head coach is Dan Marsh, who took over for Salliann Beams.
Charlotte Edwards has taken over as head coach of the Sydney Sixers from Ben Sawyer.
The Melbourne Stars’ new head coach is Jonathan Batty, who took over for Jarrad Loughman.
These teachers have already made their mark. Batty and Marsh both chose new captains. Nicole Faltum became captain of the Melbourne Stars, and Elyse Villani became captain of the Hobart Hurricanes.
